Who we are

BoothScan is operated by Openoffice Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as BoothScan, with operations in Frisco, Denton County, Texas. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “BoothScan” refer to Openoffice Technologies, Inc.

Information we handle

There are two kinds of information in BoothScan:

• Your account information. The name, email address, company, and team details you provide when you create an account or join a team, plus the digital card details you choose to publish as a QR code.
• Lead information you capture. Contact details, notes, voice-note transcriptions, interest and quality ratings, timestamps, event and booth labels, and the approximate place where a conversation happened, when you choose to record it.

Lead information belongs to you and your organization. You decide what to capture, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use the contact details of the people you meet.

How we use it

• To provide the service: capturing, storing, syncing, and exporting your leads.
• To show your team the shared views you have set up, such as event dashboards and reviews.
• To process scans, transcriptions, and drafted follow-ups you request.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your information, and we do not sell the leads you capture.

Location information

If you allow location access, BoothScan records the approximate coordinates of a conversation and converts them into a recognizable place name so you can remember where you met someone. Location access is optional, is only used when you capture a lead, and can be turned off in your browser or device settings at any time.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to host the service and to process card scans, QR lookups, voice-note transcriptions, place lookups, and drafted follow-up messages. These providers handle information only as needed to deliver those features on our behalf.

Offline capture and your device

BoothScan is built to work when a venue has no usable signal, so some information — including leads you capture and your digital card details — is stored locally on your device and synced when a connection returns. Clearing your browser storage removes the local copy from that device.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and lead information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual leads in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by writing to support@boothscan.ai.

Your choices

You can review and update your account and card details in the app, export your leads to a spreadsheet at any time, decline location and camera access, and ask us for a copy or deletion of the information we hold about you. If a person you captured asks to be removed, delete their record in the app or contact us for help.

Children

BoothScan is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated to account holders.
